Conversion rate optimisation — CRO

We identify where visitors stop and why, propose changes and measure their effects using data. We do not promise conversion growth, but show what worked and what did not.

What conversion rate optimisation means at Eqvola

It is systematic work on an existing website: identify what prevents someone from making an enquiry or completing a purchase, change it and check whether that helped. We do not rebuild everything at once; we start with the most significant obstacles.

Sources include web analytics, session recordings and heatmaps, form and cart checks, and conversations with sales and support. We use these to form and prioritise hypotheses.

We measure impact with A/B tests when traffic supports a reliable conclusion. Otherwise, we compare data before and after changes and clearly explain how much confidence that comparison warrants.

Without accurate analytics, CRO becomes guesswork. If enquiry and purchase tracking is not configured, we fix that first.

When you need this service

01 /

You have visitors but few enquiries or purchases

We find where people drop out and start where the losses are greatest.

02 /

Many carts or forms are abandoned

We check fields, errors, payment and delivery options, and the messages people see.

03 /

The team disagrees about what to change

We replace arguments with data-backed hypotheses and a clear testing sequence.

04 /

You are planning a redesign and worry about losing enquiries

Before rebuilding, we identify what already works so it is not discarded with the old design.

05 /

Advertising costs are rising and the budget is limited

Sometimes removing website obstacles makes more sense than buying more visitors.

What conversion rate optimisation includes

01

Research

  • checking analytics and conversion events;
  • analysing the journey to an enquiry or purchase step by step;
  • session recordings and heatmaps, for example in Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar;
  • checking forms, the cart and the mobile version;
  • common customer questions from sales and support.
02

Hypotheses

  • a list of obstacles with a data source for each;
  • change hypotheses describing the expected effect;
  • priorities based on impact and complexity.
03

Changes and testing

  • copy, structure, forms and interface elements;
  • comparative A/B tests where traffic is sufficient;
  • before-and-after comparisons with limitations explained;
  • a log of tested hypotheses.

HOW WE WORK

How the work progresses

You approve hypotheses and website changes; we research, prepare changes and assess results honestly.

  1. 01

    Data validation

    We ensure analytics records enquiries and purchases correctly. Outcome: data you can rely on.

  2. 02

    Research

    We analyse the visitor journey, session recordings, forms and customer questions. Outcome: a list of obstacles supported by data.

  3. 03

    Hypotheses and priorities

    We define what to change and what to expect, then set priorities. Outcome: an agreed testing plan.

  4. 04

    Implementing changes

    We prepare copy and designs; Eqvola's development team or your developers implement the changes. We check how they work across devices.

  5. 05

    Evaluation and the next cycle

    We compare data, record what worked and what did not, then move to the next hypothesis.

What you receive

01 /

A map of losses on the enquiry journey

Where visitors stop and why, with references to the data.

02 /

Prioritised hypotheses

What to change first and how to test it.

03 /

Implemented changes

Refined copy, forms and page elements within the agreed scope.

04 /

Testing log

Which hypotheses were tested, the results and how much confidence the conclusions warrant.

What we need from you

  • access to web analytics, the website and session recording tools;
  • enquiry or order data from CRM or another system;
  • a developer contact if your team implements changes;
  • information from sales and support about common customer questions and concerns;
  • a person who approves website changes.

We configure session recordings to conceal fields containing visitors' personal information.

What determines the cost

01

Ways to work together

Conversion audit. We study the enquiry journey and deliver a prioritised list of obstacles and hypotheses.

Ongoing optimisation. We manage a cycle of hypotheses, changes and tests at an agreed pace.

02

What determines the cost

  • the number of key pages and scenarios;
  • the condition of analytics;
  • traffic volume and the ability to run tests;
  • who implements website changes.

FAQ

Questions about conversion rate optimisation

Can’t find your question?

Send it through the form and we will reply.

Go to form
How much will conversion increase?

Nobody can honestly say in advance. Some hypotheses are not confirmed, which is useful too: you avoid spending resources on changes that do not work. We report what we tested and learned.

Do we need high traffic?

For A/B tests, yes; otherwise, results may be random. With low-traffic websites, we use behaviour research and before-and-after comparisons and clearly state the limits of those conclusions.

How does this differ from a redesign?

A redesign changes the whole website at once. CRO changes individual obstacles and tests the impact of each change. This research is often useful before a redesign.

Who implements website changes?

Your developers following our briefs, or Eqvola's development team. We agree this at the start because it affects the scope and pace of work.

Do you work with online stores?

Yes. Product pages, the cart, checkout, delivery and payment matter for a store. We study each step separately. All questions and answers
