Content marketing and copywriting

We write copy for websites, advertising, emails, articles and case studies, and build content marketing: regular, useful materials delivered to a plan. We gather expertise by talking with you, so you do not have to write the draft. The copy explains your product in the way customers think about it.

What content marketing and copywriting mean

Copywriting is writing for a specific task: a web page, ad, email or product description. Each piece should explain one thing and guide the reader towards one action.

Content marketing is a system of useful materials that regularly attract and persuade your audience: articles, case studies, emails and answers to customer questions. Planning, topics and consistency matter here.

You supply the facts; we verify them together. We gather information and write, and you check it is accurate. The copy contains no figures, promises or features that do not exist.

Design, publication and promotion are separate. We write the copy. Design, placement and advertising are separate services.

SEO preparation is included; SEO promotion is separate. We consider how people search and add recommendations for headings and metadata. Comprehensive work on the site's search visibility is a separate service.

What we write

01 /

Websites and landing pages

Page copy that explains what you offer and guides visitors towards an enquiry.

02 /

Articles and blogs

Materials that answer your audience's questions and help people find you in search.

03 /

Case studies. Stories of completed work: the task, solution and outcome.

04 /

Advertising copy

Ads, headlines and copy for advertising campaigns.

05 /

Email campaigns

Emails people want to open rather than immediately archive.

06 /

Copy for proposals and presentations

Content that explains your offer concisely and persuasively.

07 /

Product descriptions and catalogues

Descriptions that make clear what it is, who it suits and what makes it different.

08 /

Video scripts

Scripts for short videos, product explainers and advertisements.

When you need copywriting and content marketing

01 /

Copy gets written the night before launch

The website is ready and the design approved, but the copy still says “description goes here”. A familiar picture.

02 /

You have expertise but nobody to write it down

The owner knows everything worth telling customers, but has no time to put it into words others can understand.

03 /

The website talks about the company rather than customers' needs

“We are a dynamic company with years of experience” — without saying a word about what the customer gains.

04 /

The blog is unread or not updated

The latest article appeared long ago, and earlier ones were written for search engines rather than people.

05 /

You have case studies but they are not documented

You have done plenty of good work, but have nothing ready to show potential customers.

How we gather facts and expertise

You do not need to write a draft. An hour's conversation is enough; leave the evening staring at a blank document to us.

01

A conversation with you or an expert

We ask the questions a customer would ask and record the answers, bringing real expertise into the text rather than generalities.

02

Existing materials

Presentations, correspondence, reviews, documents and old copy. Half of what is needed is often already there.

03

Questions from customers and sales teams

What customers ask most often and what needs answering every day. These make the best topics for copy.

04

Your product

Where possible, we try the product or service ourselves rather than writing entirely from others' accounts.

You verify the facts because you are responsible for them. We do not add figures, results or promises that do not exist.

How we write

For the reader, with search in mind. First, the text must make sense to a person. We add key phrases naturally where they fit the meaning.

One task per piece. Each text explains one main idea and leads to one next step.

Easy to read on a phone. Short paragraphs, clear headings and the main point first.

In your brand's tone. If tone guidelines exist, we follow them. Otherwise, we help define them.

No clichés or empty promises. We replace “the best”, “innovative” and “personalised approach” with specifics.

What you receive

01

Content plan

For regular content: topics, formats and dates for the agreed period.

02

Editing existing copy

If you already have copy, we can rewrite or edit it rather than start from scratch.

03

SEO recommendations

Headings, metadata and internal links for content intended to be found through search.

04

Guidance for the designer

How to present the copy on a page: what to emphasise, what needs its own section and where a button belongs.

Design, publication and promotion are not included. They can be commissioned separately.

How copywriting work proceeds

01 /

1. Brief

We discuss who the text is for, what it should achieve and where it will appear. Outcome: a clear brief and cost estimate.

02 /

2. Fact gathering

We speak with you or an expert and study the materials and product. Outcome: everything needed for the copy is collected.

03 /

3. Structure or content plan

For a single piece, a structure; for regular content, a topic plan. You approve it. Outcome: an agreed plan.

04 /

4. Copy

We write to the agreed structure. Outcome: the first draft.

05 /

5. Revisions

We make revisions within the agreed number of rounds. Outcome: copy you are happy with.

06 /

6. Final version

We deliver the copy with SEO recommendations and designer guidance. Outcome: text ready for layout or publication.

07 /

For regular content

We agree the plan a month ahead and prepare texts to a schedule, so the blog or newsletter appears regularly rather than whenever a free evening comes up.
