Reporting automation

We configure reports and dashboards that compile data from your systems without manual copying. First we agree what to measure and where the data comes from, so figures mean the same thing to everyone using them.

What reporting automation means at Eqvola

It means configuring reports that update from CRM, accounting software, advertising accounts, spreadsheets and other sources. Instead of compiling data manually, a person opens a prepared report.

We start with the questions the report should answer and the definitions. What counts as an enquiry, sale or fulfilled order? Which source is authoritative when figures differ between systems? Without this, a dashboard merely presents contradictory data attractively.

We choose the tool for the task: Google Sheets, Looker Studio, Power BI or reports inside your CRM. Sometimes configuring what you already have is enough.

A report shows only data recorded somewhere. If managers do not enter loss reasons, these will not appear on the dashboard either. We flag these gaps and suggest how to close them. You draw conclusions and make decisions based on the report.

When you need reporting automation

01 /

Reports are compiled manually from several systems

Someone regularly exports data, combines it in a spreadsheet and checks formulas. We configure automatic updates.

02 /

Figures differ between reports

CRM, accounting and advertising accounts show different results. We agree definitions and explain the discrepancies.

03 /

Only one person understands the reporting

When they are away, there are no reports either. We make the process documented and reproducible.

04 /

The manager lacks a consolidated view

Data exists, but is scattered between services. We bring the key metrics into one dashboard.

05 /

You need alerts, not just reports

It is important to learn about deviations immediately, not in the next report. We configure notifications under agreed conditions.

What reporting automation includes

01

Metrics and sources

  • the questions the report answers and its users;
  • metric definitions and calculation rules;
  • the authoritative source for each metric;
  • data completeness and quality checks.
02

Data collection

  • connecting CRM, accounting, advertising accounts, analytics and spreadsheets;
  • automatic updates on a schedule;
  • cleaning and consolidating data from different systems;
  • update error logs.
03

Reports and access

  • management dashboards and operational reports for teams;
  • filters by period, manager and service area;
  • role-based data access;
  • metric explanations within the report itself.

HOW WE WORK

How the work progresses

You approve the metrics and definitions; we connect sources and build reports.

  1. 01

    Define the questions

    We discuss who will use the report and which decisions depend on it. Deliverable: a list of metrics with definitions.

  2. 02

    Check the data

    We examine what sources contain, their completeness and connection availability. We document discrepancies and gaps before building.

  3. 03

    Build the report

    We configure collection, calculations and visualisations. We compare figures with your manual reports for the same periods.

  4. 04

    Hand over and explain

    We show how to read the report and where to check data. We agree who responds to update errors.

What you receive

01 /

Agreed metrics

Definitions, calculation rules and sources consistent for all users.

02 /

Reports and dashboards

Updated from your systems without manual copying.

03 /

Explanations of discrepancies

Why systems show different figures and which source is authoritative for each metric.

04 /

Documentation and access

Who can see which data and how to change the report as needs change.

What we need from you

  • someone who makes decisions using the report and approves metrics;
  • view-only access to data sources;
  • existing manual reports for comparison;
  • answers about accounting and sales rules;
  • a list of people and roles that need access.

What determines the cost

01

Ways to work together

A single report. For example, current sales status based on CRM data.

A reporting system. Multiple sources, agreed metrics and dashboards for different roles.

02

What determines the cost

  • the number of data sources and their connection capabilities;
  • the number of metrics and calculation complexity;
  • data quality and cleaning requirements;
  • access requirements and update frequency.
03

What is paid for separately

  • visualisation tool licences, where paid;
  • paid connectors for exporting data from services.

FAQ

Questions about reporting automation

Can’t find your question?

Send it through the form and we will reply.

Go to form
How does this differ from end-to-end analytics?

End-to-end analytics answers a marketing question: which advertising channels lead to deals and payments. Reporting automation also covers other processes: sales, operations, finance and team activity. A marketing report can form part of such a system.

Why do figures in CRM and the advertising account differ?

Systems count events, time and duplicates differently, and some data may not be transferred. We explain the discrepancies and agree which source is authoritative. Fully reconciling data between systems is not always possible.

Which dashboard tool should we choose?

It depends on sources, user count, access requirements and budget. If a tool already available to you is sufficient, we do not suggest a new one.

Can a report draw its own conclusions?

Alerts can be configured when a metric goes beyond agreed limits. Explaining causes and deciding what to do remain with people who know the context. All questions and answers
