UX/UI design

We plan how people will use the product: what they will see, where they will go and how they will complete the action they need. Design can be commissioned separately or together with development.

What UX/UI design means at Eqvola

UX is the logic: the steps people take, what they need to know at each stage and where they may make mistakes. UI is how this logic appears on screen: layout, typography, buttons, forms and their states.

We start with scenarios, not an attractive first screen. We agree the structure and prototype first, then the visual design. This allows us to discuss key decisions before coding, when they are easiest to change.

We design not only the main path but also errors, loading states, empty lists, different access rights and screen sizes. These states are often overlooked and become surprises during development.

Design can be a separate commission: we hand over layouts to your developers or another contractor and agree the handover format in advance. Logo and visual identity work is a separate marketing service.

When you need this service

01 /

You are launching a new digital product

Screens, transitions and interface behaviour need to be defined before coding. A prototype helps you discuss the solution with the team and developers.

02 /

Users are confused by an existing product

People cannot find features, do not complete forms or repeatedly contact support. We review the scenarios and propose interface improvements.

03 /

The working system is awkward for your team

Employees take unnecessary steps, search for data across different screens or make errors in forms. We design the interface around their real tasks.

04 /

You have developers but lack design

Your team is coding, but layouts are missing or do not cover every state. We prepare the design and agree the handover format for development.

05 /

The interface has grown without consistent rules

Every new section looks different, and buttons and forms behave inconsistently. We bring repeated elements into a coherent component set.

What UX/UI design includes

01

Research and scenarios

  • identifying who will use the product and why;
  • reviewing the existing interface, if there is one;
  • describing key scenarios and roles;
  • the structure of sections and navigation.
02

Prototype

  • wireframes of key screens and the transitions between them;
  • the logic of forms, filters and messages;
  • discussing the prototype with you and the developers;
  • recording agreed decisions before visual design.
03

Interface design

  • visual style within the existing brand;
  • responsive layouts for the required screen sizes;
  • element states: errors, loading and empty data;
  • a component set and explanations for development.

HOW WE WORK

How the work progresses

You approve scenarios, the prototype and design in sequence; we prepare each stage and explain the decisions.

  1. 01

    Understand the task

    We discuss the product, users, existing materials and constraints. We define which scenarios and screens are included.

  2. 02

    Scenarios and structure

    After the agreement and payment, we describe user journeys, roles and navigation. The result is an agreed list of screens and transitions.

  3. 03

    Prototype

    We build wireframes without visual styling and test the logic. Changes are easiest to make at this stage.

  4. 04

    Visual design

    We turn the agreed prototype into layouts with all required states. We prepare reusable components.

  5. 05

    Handover to development

    We hand over design files and explanations in the agreed format. We answer developers' questions within the agreed scope.

What you receive

01 /

Description of scenarios and structure

Roles, key user journeys and the list of screens covered by the design.

02 /

Prototype

A map of screens and transitions that lets us discuss the logic before coding.

03 /

Design layouts

Responsive screens covering errors, loading, empty states and other behaviours.

04 /

Component set

Buttons, forms, tables and other elements, with usage rules for new screens.

05 /

Design files for development

An agreed set of files and explanations for your developers or for further development with us.

What we need from you

  • a description of the product, its users and the tasks they perform;
  • access to the existing product or its layouts, if available;
  • brand materials: logo, colours and fonts;
  • contact with developers if the design is handed over to another team;
  • a person who approves scenarios and layouts.

Real copy and data instead of placeholders help reveal actual interface problems.

What determines the cost

01

Ways to work together

A separate design commission. Scenarios, a prototype and layouts to hand over to your developers.

Design as part of development. Interface planning as a stage in full-cycle product creation.

02

What determines the cost

  • the number of unique screens and scenarios;
  • the number of roles and interface states;
  • the screen sizes and platforms required;
  • the availability of brand materials;
  • the need for a component set.
03

What is paid for separately

  • logo and visual identity development;
  • fonts, photos and illustrations with paid licences.

FAQ

Questions about UX/UI design

Can’t find your question?

Send it through the form and we will reply.

Go to form
Can we commission design without development?

Yes. We prepare scenarios, a prototype and layouts, while your team or another contractor handles development. We agree the handover format and our involvement in answering developers' questions in advance.

What is the difference between UX and UI?

UX concerns the logic: the steps people take and whether they can complete the action they need. UI concerns how it looks: layout, colours, fonts and elements. We work on both, starting with the logic.

Can you update an existing product's design without rebuilding everything?

Yes. We can start with the most problematic scenarios or screens. We first assess what works and what gets in users' way, then propose changes in stages.

Do you create logos and visual identities?

This is a separate marketing service. We use existing brand materials for the interface. If there are none, we can involve our branding team.

Will a new design generate more enquiries?

We do not promise this. A usable interface removes obstacles, but enquiry volume also depends on the offer, pricing and traffic. Conversion work can help test the impact of changes. All questions and answers
